About

In early 2005, I walked out of Kaslo, where I was staying at a friend’s place, and into my first rave. 300 people dancing in the middle of the woods, having the time of their lives. Not particularly long ago, but I’ve been hooked ever since.

That was my first introduction to electronic music, and I’ve been practicing DJing, in various forms, since September 2006. I’ve just recently started moving into production, and this blog is basically going to chronicle my blunders. My plans are to post regular updates with tracks I’m working, along with what techniques I’m finding work and don’t work, as well as just general bitching (hey, maybe somebody else is having the same problems). I’m also going to try to post full ‘how-to’ articles ever so often on various production topics (both theory and practical)… whenever I figure them out. Oh yeah, as well as just writing about stuff going on in my life, I’m also going to try to find time to write reviews about various things; most likely software, Vancouver clubs, coffee shops, and DJ sets I download.

As far as general about-me goes, I was born in 1988, and grew up in the Kootenays region (middle of nowhere), BC. I graduated from the 10th worst school in BC, and took a year of UBC Engineering before dropping out because I couldn’t take the stress.
